LEGALISATION REQUIREMENT FOR SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia is now a member of the Hague Convention of 1961 and, in most cases, an FCDO Apostille on a UK document will be sufficient for use in Saudi Arabia.
Documents may require
Notarisation before an Apostille is obtained, depending on the type of document.
Documents may require
Apostille from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
Commercial documents may also require certification by:
London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)
Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC)
For UK educational documents, the Saudi authorities currently require additional attestation by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education. This process is submitted electronically by the document holder at
www.mosadaqa.sa.
In some cases, the receiving authority in Saudi Arabia may still request further consular attestation. Where required, this can be arranged through our
Consular Legalisation service.
